How to make healthier chicken parmesan

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees f.

Gather your supplies.

Measure out the bran flakes and add to a goo processor (mine is small so I had to do it in batches)

Process the bran flakes until med to fine consistency.

Measure out the Parmesan cheese. If you want to be healthier, use less cheese.

Combine the bran flakes and Parmesan cheese. I put it in a big ziplock bag so it is easy to shake up.

Add the garlic salt. I personally love lawry's garlic salt. I put a tablespoon because I also love garlic, but put 2 tsp so the garlic wouldn't be over powering to other people.

Slice the chicken into strip sized pieces.

Soak the chicken in water. This is what I will be using for the bran flake mixture to stay. You can also use eggs or milk, but water doesn't add additional calories or flavor.

Add the chicken to the ziplock bag, close, and shake the chicken up. This prevents a mess in your kitchen.

Make sure the chicken is evenly coated. I also did another pass with the bran mixture with my hand to pack more mixture on it.

Add the coated chicken to a pan. I also add the extra bran flakes mixture to the top because it tastes amazing crispy.

Put in the oven for 20 mins or until golden brown.

Grate the block of cheese or have shredded cheese. Any white cheese would taste nice with the Parmesan, but I will list a few: asiago, Romano, or provolone.

This is the fully bake chicken. Yum!

Serve with your favorite vegetables or pasta. Garnish with shredded cheese (optional) and enjoy!
